James L. "Luke" Flatt

President, CEO and Board Member
Community Capital Bancshares Inc. and AB&T

Luke Flatt has built a 40-year career solely devoted to his passion for community banking. An optimist, visionary and achiever, Luke leads with the idea that a financial institution should have no greater concern than the growth, prosperity, diversity and quality of life of the communities it serves. With that strategic vision, he is out to ensure that AB&T is the gold standard in community banking.

Outside the bank's doors, Luke has long been an active member of the community, serving in leadership roles for the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce, the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, the Dougherty County Rotary Club, the Darton College Foundation, Leadership Albany, Leadership Georgia, Consumer Credit Counseling Service, and Imagine Albany. Luke has received numerous honors for his service, including Leadership Albany’s prestigious “Ed Freeman Award” in recognition of his civic contribution to our community and the 2017 Lifetime Service Award from the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce.

Luke holds a business administration degree from Auburn University and is also a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University where he was elected class president by the 200-plus bankers and bank regulators in his class.

 

Joe Pierce

Senior Vice President, Senior Credit Officer

Since beginning his banking career more than 15 years ago, Joe has distinguished himself as one of Southwest Georgia's most well-respected bankers. With a background in accounting, which included an internship as a staff accountant with Draffin & Tucker, LLP during college, and experience as a commercial real estate officer and commercial relationship manager, Joe's background and expertise are invaluable. He understands the important role banks play in the community and he is committed to building an organization that offers and guidance and support and that displays the gold standard in community banking.

A native of South Georgia who grew up in nearby Edison before attending Auburn University where he graduated in 1996 with a degree in finance, and was a 2014 graduate of Leadership Albany.

Joe currently serves on the Georgia Banker's Association's Credit Committee and remains active in his local community, having served on the boards of multiple civic and professional organizations, including acting as current treasurer of Leadership Albany. He is also very active in his church and serves as a volunteer coach for several youth sports.

 

Perry Revell

Senior Vice President, Relationship Development and Marketing

Perry began his banking career in 2006 as a Credit Portfolio Manager and since that time, has established a reputation for developing commercial relationships and providing exceptional client service. He has a passion for taking care of his clients. His background and experience fit perfectly with AB&T’s vision of becoming the gold standard of commerical banking throughout South Georgia.

Additionally Perry oversees the bank's marketing and brand commitment strategies to ensure AB&T is well recognized as the premier community bank in South Georgia.

An Albany native, Perry attended Deerfield-Windsor School and later went on to the University of Georgia, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. He is also a graduate of the Georgia Academy of Economic Development and is currently enrolled in the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.

Perry is very active in his home community, serving on the boards of several civic organizations and non-profits, including holding the role of Chairman of the United Way South Georgia in 2013. Currently Perry serves on the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce Board and Finance Committee and on the board of Albany League Baseball, LLC. He is also a graduate of Leadership Albany and has been recognized by The Albany Herald as one of its “40 Under 40.”

 

Matt Rushton

Senior Vice President, Commercial Banking

Since beginning his banking career in 2002 Matt has distinguished himself as one of the area's premier commercial relationship managers, handling a book of business in excess of $100 million. Through his proven talent, professionalism and his ability to understand the financing and cash management needs of a broad range of business operations, Matt has become a trusted advisor for countless clients.

By giving his clients customized solutions, quick decisions and incomparable service, he is committed to providing gold standard service to businesses of all types throughout Southwest Georgia.

An Albany native, Matt attended Albany High School before studying at the University of Georgia, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics. He is also a recent graduate of the Georgia Academy of Economic Development.

Matt remains very active in the community, serving on the Board of Trustees for Deerfield Windsor School and on the Finance Committee for First United Methodist Church. Additionally, he is a volunteer for the Flint RiverQuarium and Chehaw park. An avid outdoorsman, Matt is very active in both the planning and the presentation of the annual Georgia Quail Hunt hosted by the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and the Georgia Allies. Matt has also been recognized by the Albany Herald as one of their "40 Under 40."

 

Dana White

Senior Vice President

Operations, Compliance and Information Technology

As a senior vice president for AB&T, Dana handles a variety of tasks, contributing her detail-oriented skills, great ideas and technological solutions to help associates and clients.

With more than 26 years of experience in banking, Dana now manages the Operations/Information Technology Center of the bank and also serves as the bank's Compliance/CRA Officer.

Dana serves on the board of directors of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Albany. She was also a participant in the inaugural class of the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce Institute for Leadership Development and has been active in numerous professional organizations, including Harland Financial Services' user board of directors and the C&A Associates' user board of directors.

Her educational background includes a degree from the Florida School of Banking at the University of Florida, as well as other studies at Hillsborough Community College. Dana is also an active member of St. Patrick's Episcopal Church.

 

T. Wayne Whitfield

Senior Vice President, Director of Mortgage Banking

With 46 years of banking experience and the desire to provide solutions that meet the individual needs of customers, Wayne manages the AB&T Mortgage Department. Using his extensive experience and knowledge of the building and mortgage business, Wayne has helped make AB&T’s Mortgage Department the gold standard in our community.

He is a lifelong resident of the Albany area, having attended Albany High School, Darton College and Valdosta State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing. Wayne is a past president of the Georgia Mortgage Bankers Association and the Rotary Club of Dougherty County, a member of the Albany Board of Realtors, the Home Builders Association and the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce. Wayne is a graduate of Leadership Albany and an active member of Gillionville Baptist Church.

 

Gayle B. Woolard

Senior Vice President, Consumer Services

Gayle has over 20 years of banking experience, beginning her career as a Management Trainee before advancing to the position of Vice President and Private Banker where she concentrates heavily on the medical market and private client services.

In recent years Gayle has taken on the additional role of overseeing AB&T's retail branch network. She fully embraces the client relationship aspects of community banking and consistently provides this to her clients.

Gayle is a graduate of Georgia Southern University where she majored in finance with an emphasis on banking. She is past president of the Dougherty Rotary Club and was presented with the Sheffield Award for Outstanding Leadership for year 2014 – 2015. She has also served as a board member of the Chehaw Park Authority and is a graduate of Leadership Albany. Gayle has also been recognized by The Albany Herald as one of their “40 Under 40.”

 

Stan W. Edmonds

Vice President, Controller

As vice president and financial officer for AB&T, Stan is involved in the financial budgeting, analysis and reporting that are vital to the success of a bank. With more than 30 years of experience in banking and accounting, Stan understands the importance of financial reporting and accounting to a bank that requires gold standard in every aspect of its business.

A resident of the Albany area for over 50 years, Stan graduated from Westover High School and Darton State College before earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Valdosta State University. Through the Bank Administration Institute he also became a Certified Bank Auditor and he is also a graduate of the BAI Graduate Schools of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

After beginning his career in public accounting at Draffin & Tucker, LLP, Stan later transitioned into banking and worked several years for two regional banks before joining AB&T in 2002.

Stan is actively involved as a volunteer helping the bank serve as a Partner in Excellence with Alice Coachman Elementary School. He is also active in his church and has served as Stewardship Team Chairman, Food Service committee member and usher, along with serving the community as a volunteer coach for youth baseball, golf and softball teams.

 

Leslie M. Gilliam

Vice President

Starting her career 1992 as a teller, Leslie has spent the past 25 years mastering all aspects of the banking industry. Thanks to her varied experience, Leslie's role as Vice President at AB&T is multifaceted, as her responsibilities include commercial banking, small business lending and private banking. Leslie has served in mulitple roles with both larger and smaller banks, and believes community banks serve clients with a personal touch that is often lost with larger institutions. In community banking Leslie is able to really get to know her clients, build trusting, long-lasting relationships and provide them customized financial soluations to achieve their goals.

Leslie is also actively involved in the community, currently serving as a board member of Easter Seals of Southern Georgia. She is also a graduate of Leadership Albany.

 

Robert "Bert" Baranko

Security Officer, Network Administrator

As the Bank’s network Administrator, Bert installs, configures and maintains all of the computers throughout the network. Beyond his technical expertise, he is involved with every aspect of AB&T’s digital presence. His involvement includes design, layout and implementation.

Additionally, Bert manages and maintains the Bank server and network infrastructure. He is responsible for ensuring that, when it comes to the Bank’s digital presence, our customer experience is always the “gold standard.”

In 2010, Bert received the Microsoft Certificate of Excellence and became recognized as a Microsoft Certified Professional. Indeed, Bert brings a level of professionalism to every aspect of the Bank’s computer network – both internally and externally.

Bert is a native of the Albany area, graduating from Lee County High School before attending the University of Georgia. He holds a Business Administration degree from Darton College. He is an active member of St Patrick’s Episcopal Church.

 

Johnnie Benton

Banking Officer
Branch Manager for Lee County and Pine Ave.

Johnnie offers more than 26 years of experience to help AB&T be the bank that customers rely on for outstanding service, relationships and solutions. Whether at our Lee County Branch or at our Pine Avenue Drive-Thru, if it has to do with opening accounts, processing loans or assisting tellers, Johnnie is making sure that AB&T customers are always receiving the “gold standard” service that they deserve.

Johnnie attended Albany State University and also has specialized in consumer lending. She is a volunteer for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Treasurer for Crime Stoppers, and a graduate of the ARC Dougherty Leadership Development Institute. Johnnie recently graduated from Leadership Lee County.

 

Terri Christian

Banking Officer, Branch Manager - Meredyth Drive

Terri brings a wealth of management experience and banking knowledge to AB&T. During her career, she has filled every role in a retail branch - she can do it all (and has done it all!)

Her client approach matches her approach to management. She is committed to going above and beyond. As she explained, "You have to make sure that every client knows that they count. They have to know that they matter. You absolutely have to show that you appreciate them (and you have to truly mean it!) Professionalism means that you have your clients' best interest at heart."

Married to Carlton, she has two children - a son, Leon, and a daugther, TreLisa.

 

Nita Gaines

Human Resources Officer
Administrative Assistant to the President and Corporate Secretary

Nita works among many of the bank's associates and directors with a variety of responsibilities-ranging from administration and payroll to helping enrich the lives of customers in any way possible. An exemplary and loyal associate, Nita has received an AB&T Gold Star Award in recognition for her willingness to go above and beyond for both her customers and co-workers.

A resident of the Albany area for more than 40 years, Nita graduated from Albany High School and received a degree in public administration from Darton College.

 

Tina Marbury

Banking Officer
Senior Credit Analyst

A native of Albany, Tina brings a wealth of knowledge and underwriting expertise in her work with both commercial and private bankers. Tina has been in banking since 1999 and has served in numerous credit-related functions.

"Tina's experience and proficiency truly set her apart," said Luke Flatt. "Our credit quality and ability to respond timely to client requests are direct reflections on Tina's high level of competence."

Tina attended Deerfield-Windsor School and later received a BSBA from Georgia Southwestern State University. She is an active member of Albany First United Methodist Church. Tina is also a graduate of Leadership Albany and has been recognized by the Albany Herald as one their "40 Under 40." Additionally, she is a past president of the American Heart Association and currently serves on the board of the Salvation Army.

Daniela Norman

BSA Officer

A native of nearby Poulan, Ga., Daniela has worked in the banking industry for the past seven and a half years, all with AB&T, and distinguished herself as a dedicated and extremely capable member of the AB&T team.

As BSA Officer Daniela is responsible for the coordination, implementation and administration of all aspects of the bank’s BSA Compliance program to ensure that AB&T meets all state and federal BSA, USA Patriot Act, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and OFAC guidelines.

 

Whitney Passmore

Banking Officer
Cash Management Specialist, Private Banking

Whitney has excelled in establishing and maintaining client relationships through her role as Cash Management Specialist and Administrative Assistant to the Commercial and Private Bankers. With seven years of banking experience Whitney utilizes her exceptional client management skills to represent what it means to be the gold standard of community banking.

On a daily basis, Whitney demonstrates what solid relationship banking represents and is a tremendous asset to AB&T and to this community," said Luke Flatt.

Whitney attended Lee County High School and later received a BS in Business from Valdosta State University. She is an active member of First Baptist Church of Albany and was a 2017 graduate of the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Institute.

 

Laurie Senn

Banking Officer
Senior Operations Specialist and Compliance Administrator

Serving as Senior Operations Specialist and Compliance Administrator Laurie is a vital part of our banking team, ensuring we deliver on our promise to be the gold standard of community banking. Utilizing her extensive knowledge Laurie provides oversight of our compliance processes and is a key part of managing our operational efficiency.

An Albany native with over 14 years of banking experience, Laurie thrives on solid relationships, both with our clients and with our team. “When I was young, I never really thought about making banking a career - I always thought banking was about numbers, and I am not a numbers person“ said Senn. “Once I began my banking career I realized banking is about people, and I am a people person. There is something so satisfying about being able to help another person, especially when it can be potentially life-changing for that person.”
